GEARS

Mon, 10/31/2016 - 17:20 -- Kanalia

I stand against the branches of life
in a world filled with clockwork.
I am the engineer that bring all the gears together,
and is in search for the last of its odds and ends..
My eyes are set upon the sun
rising against the mountains.
It is spinning.
tick - tock - tick - tock

I stand at the top of the tree of life
with its branches filled with power.
My hand touches the strength
that is necessary to feed millions.
Below me rests the broken springs.
It is an unimaginable height,
yet my eyes are set on the sun
that revolves forever.
It shall bring a powerful light
and awesome vigor
so that it may fix the gears of this world.

I reach out my hand
towards the clock that brings harmony.
It continues to tick.
I grasp it in my palm.
The branches shine
and I am blinded.

I stand against the branches of life
in a world filled with clockwork.
I am the engineer that brings all the gears together
and is in search for the last of its odds and ends.
My eyes are set upon the darkness.
rising against the mountains.
It is spinning.
tick - tock - tick - tock
