The Gatekeepers Key

Words are spoken daily,

But hers are kept locked inside.

No one has the key

To unlock the unmentionable,

Her Hidden Words.

They devour her insides like an untamed beast.

They race through her mind like a vicious storm.

They are squeezed so tightly, so deeply, inside of her.

They have never seen the daylight.

They have never slipped past her teeth.

They are left behind from the other words just waiting for their time.

But yet,

Amidst all the struggle

And all of the darkness

There is a light,

A peace,

Joy.

She can feel the words coursing through her veins,

Love,

Hope,

Desire,

Faith.

These words tame the beast.

These words quiet the storm.

These words put ease to the pressure of the hurt held onto so tightly.

These words have seen the daylight.

These words have snuck past her teeth.

These words bring light in the darkness.

These words have...

The Gatekeepers Key.
