Game Night

The night was filled with alcohol and chips

Cards and bets

Family and friends

The smell of wine and burnt bread

Pasta on the floors and fur at our feet

Cats pawing and dogs howling

Loud bangs somewhere outside

But once the guests where gone

The noises got too close

They were right by the window

The front door broke

The lock quickly replaced

The gun next to her cold hand

Fingerprints wiped

Stove turned on

And the crime scene smelled

Like blood and fire

They said it was a suicide

Even though the murderer lied

Guests said she was fine

But deep down inside

She hadn't had the chance

To make a decision

Her last words where

"Someone finally did it".
