Awesome: adj. causing or inducing awe; inspiring an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, or fear:

The Game:

The sky the song

the sun cannot bear

sinks slowly to rest

in peace below there

And softly again

surely to rise

in morning's light

so full of lies

And morning's dew

does nourish the earth

Glittering like a thousand

lively suns of mirth

Her breath clouds the air

the mark of the cold

the silence of Death

the burden of old

Death beckons closer

hands curled into fists

Red eyes glinting

like lanterns in the mist

But the Game has been played

the dice have been rolled

I am not Death's

to be taken and sold

To Life I was given

And to Him I remain

So Death cannot touch me

She has nothing to gain

Life is a Book:

And in it: a name

More names written

by One and the Same

Though the dice have been rolled

and the Game has been played

I am just one

so recently saved

There are more

so desperately in need

of a Savior and Lord

from Death's mighty greed

For her claws are reaching

into my home

grasping and searching

for someone to hold

Someone for whom

the dice have not rolled

And the Game not played

for that unlucky soul

But there are none to be found

for Death to latch on-

The Game has been played

for every last one
