Teacher are talking, saying
Seniors make an impression.
'Cause when the time comes to look back
you won't remember what you failed at,
you won't remember what you lacked.
You'll think of struggles that made you stronger
Giants you concurred
and the day you signed you future away
to a college in the US of A

Don't let yourself wonder
about something you never took a chance at
because then your life is too far gone
to change the place you've settled at
no more chances given on a diamond platter
cause you strike out when you refuse to take the bat.

I can't say from experience
but your final year seems to go by kind of quick
so make memories you'll be proud of
make friendships that'll last through time's sick plot twists
because sometimes the only lessons people comprehend
are the ones people don't want to live through
without a helping hand

Students are talking, saying
"I’ve been gone since last May,
I'm ready to face the world on my own."
If you can't handle the bill to your own cell phone,
how do you think you’re ready to take on this society
which crushes dreams due to financial realities?

Some senior's take what life introduces
by getting lost in little pills which give them allusions,
but when the bottle runs empty
you can beg on hands and knees,
but the drug won't help you back on your feet.
Never forget you got a family.

Now, your family can be your brother at home,
your mom working a full time job,
the girl sitting across from you.
Whoever you let into your life,
who you call a friend,
they'll be your family 'till their world ends
and that is a promise i hope they stay true too.

Try to keep in your mind the times you heard someone tell you they're proud,
they took what you said to heart,
the thanks you'll get for helping them out.
It's the little things ,collective,
we take them all for granted
Because as time goes on
your last meeting might be just that,
your last.
Your last time seeing the person who in your life had meaning,
so don't be petty or jealous
or leave venom on your tongue
and poison on your lips.
Don't say promises you'll forget to keep
pieces of hearts you string along then forget to return
because the last time you talk to someone face to face,
could be their last hurrah before judgment day,
their last time among the human race.

You’re going to get older.
Time won't bend for you, a friend, a prayer ended with Amen,
No. Time has its own mind.
And you better look with your eyes,
'cause time will take your life further then you think
if you pause to long, take a detour, snap, then blink,
seconds passed in the time you opened your eyes,
and what did you miss?

Don't be the one to miss the joke that is life's pace
because it's running to win the ultimate race
and you better run faster or get dust in your face
that'll slow you down with its merciless grace.

The world is a place made up of people,
don't limit yourself to a location
go and see the world by any means of transportation.

Now that while you eat inside, some eat out.
Water so clean you can drink in some places doesn't come from a spout.

So open your mind, see a world that’s blind,
and guide it into the directions,
we students see as our perspectives protection.
