Friends Again
I think to when we ran together untill we both fell in the grass in the arms of the Tetons
I cartwheeled. You rolled down the rocky hill. We would only end up laughing.
I hated peas, you told me it was okay to wash them down the sink... till the drain clogged
I think to the summers, bonfires, smoked BBQ and you.
Now, I ride past the Tetons, the hills, and I still hate peas, but I eat them now.
All I know is I saw you running beside my car on the freeway. My foot stopped on the pedal. YOu caught up and we hugged very tight. It was just like old times.
I never felt as safe as when you told me, we are always friends.
Becasue I need you to survive, and you need me to exist.
