Friends

Friends.

There is no greater gift than friends.

Friends.

They come in all shapes and sizes.

They don't care about what makes you different:

They are colorblind and see you as a regular human being.

Friends.

They view you as their hero

And you view them the same way.

Friends.

They cheer you up

When you're feeling down.

Friends.

They can sometimes be mother hens,

But they only want you to be safe and sound.

Friends.

They give you all kinds of memories.

Those late nights watching movies or beyond hilarious You Tube videos.

Those nights when they decided to take a risk and go slip-and-sliding with you during a thunderstorm.

Those times when they entertained you while you were bored on a bus ride or during marching band practice.

Those times that they invited you to come with them for a road trip, a Christian fraternity party, to downtown, or to the nearest Czech Stop.

Kolaches anyone?

Friends.

They can agree on so many things.

They think Taylor Swift's amazing.

They think Harry Potter and Hogwarts is magical.

They love Disney because Disney movies can be related to and teach so many valuable lessons.

They believe that God is the greatest.

Friends.

They are persons of character:

Honest-unafraid to tell the truth even when it hurts.

Respectful-not afraid to respect your boundaries, your opinions, and you as a human being.

Responsible-not afraid to admit that what they did was wrong and then they take the necessary steps to amend their wrongs.

Forgiving-they get mad at you, but they accept your apology and everyone moves on.

Fair-they don't judge you even if they don't agree with you.

Caring-they are considerate about your feelings and thoughts.  If you are having a bad day, they will go the extra mile to help you feel better.

Citizens-they are law abiding citizens of our country and your city that you live in.

Friends.

They give you gifts

And don't expect anything in return.

Friends.

They have a heart of gold.

Friends.

There is no greater gift than friends.

So the next time you see someone eating alone or someone being bullied,

Put out your hand and become their friend.

That gesture might seem small,

But to that person it might mean the world.
