Freedom of your words

And in this moment you know your words are not your own

trapped in your mind your mouth becomes a prison of words

that you dare not speak for you know in this moment you are weak

though you will be remembered for being that funny one

you will no longer have words left to speak just pieces of conversations

between strangers thinking they knew you but not even reaching the peak

this is the silence that followed you the one that was there

when you knew better but shut your mouth because you told yourself

you couldn't do better not knowing your words have the powers to make a change.

Had the strength to break down barriers and break off chains

Made them wanna shout Hallelujah only if you would take that stand

and unlock your thoughts and set your words free from the cages

so that they can sing a freedom song tell of the ringing that has been set off

the time is now empowerment is now and freedom of your word is now

you only lock yourself up when you let the world speak up for you

and in this moment of clarity, you now know words open doors

you didn't know you had the keys to.
