Freedom From Poetry

Tue, 06/21/2016 - 09:47 -- CStahl

I woke up today

To see my life fade away

All my feelings would dissappear

To be replaced by fear.

It's the lack of change that hurts the most

A monatonous life might as well be a ghost

But poetry can be the start of something new;

A feeling, a connection between me and you.

Poetry isn't perfect, but it can save my life

From itself, and the lonliness of the night

So thank you to words, and to stories, and to poems,

For delivering me from my fears to my own.

Our world
