Freedom and slavery ...

Freedom and slavery

1 Corinthians 6:12

12 “All things are lawful for me”—but not everything is beneficial.

“All things are lawful for me”—but I will not be controlled by anything.

Enslaved by anything ... even by good habits

Makes me partially alive and close to my last breath

Every demand that’s made ... is not always helpful

As a Christian should see in the choice is life or death

But a Christian can’t die ... where do you get that stuff?

Appearance is not the issue ... it is like a fruitless tree

The one Christ engaged on His journey to the Holy Place

And spoke of disappointment as the tree did not fulfill His need

So it is with the body ... it is permitted to do many things

“To be called free indeed ... to bring Glory to God”

It won’t help very much if it is used to bring shame

To the Author of the universe Who knows your every blot
