The Forgotten Place

There is a place where there is nothing but beauty and grace

There is a sea of golden grass and nothing but peace

There is magnificent mountains standing mighty and tall

Trees as far as the eye can see

It was once a new frontier where everybody was scared

The place was once wild and unobtained

It was once traveled by cowboys and Indians

But now it is traveled by the iron horse

It is true that there is still some wild inside

The animals here will tell you so

To see for yourself just go

If you do I will tell you what you will see

It is a place where there is nothing but beauty and grace

It has a sea of golden grass and nothing but peace

There is magnificent mountains standing mighty and tall

Trees as far as the eye can see

This destination if you choose to seek

Is called

The Forgotten Place

This poem is about:
My country
