Forgiveness
I sentenced you to the flames of deep hell.
Deeper than the core of many planets.
I pushed you down the deepest, darkest well.
I crushed you by the forces of granite.
I summoned you to the depths of the sea.
You float, lifeless across the Atlantic.
I showed no mercy; You never showed me.
I wanted to be in love, romantic.
I set you on fire, burned you alive.
You screamed and pleaded for my forgiveness.
How could I forgive if I could not thrive?
I was angry and you were the witness.
Yet, I gathered the strength to forgive you.
Forgiveness, the eventual breakthrough.
