Forgive Yourself

I lend this to seldom few
took decades to finally undue
the knots, roadblocks, the cheap talk
crooked cops, this long walk, the bricks that continued to be built
at non stop to entertain my brain now insane to the blame
we love to walk with our friend shame he in his own way
calls me out by my real name he agrees with all they say
sending me into darker days I’m bait preyed on in multiple ways
dogs that play are ones who stray
they have all gone their own way
no one hear prays
only lonely anger and bitterness
stays
all else part ways
seems to be on replayed since fri
extended weekends to pay for debts unpaid
words lay us at a distance no trust
between any of us
just hitting sore spots
always quick to become hot tempered
robots when they enter they go till they explode
like some sinister plot
only few of them seem to know

Me
My family
