Footprints

Location

I have been ridiculed and mistreated

Because of the color of my skin

It’s been so hard for me to see goodness in mankind

I had to search my soul…so I decided to look deep within

I don’t have a clue in the world

Tell me, “What did I ever do to you?”

I now see the problem isn’t mine

The ignorance I’ve faced has been purely …You!

There’s no need to say anything else to me

I’m stronger than ever before

You will not hinder me any longer

Your words will not hurt me anymore

I’m fed up with being afraid

It’s time for me to take a stand

I know that I will be victorious

Because I saw His footprints in the sand
