Foggy Depression

Fog is like depression and I'm just waiting for it to clear out.

When the fog hits, somedays it's light, and you can still see what's around you. It's livable.
Other days, when the fog is heavier,
It's harder to see
The people you love the most, if you walk even the slightest bit away from them, they're gone.
You don't realize how far you've gone until you can't find your way back, and you can't tell which way is which.
Sometimes, the fog will change and shift during the day when you aren't paying attention.
You can start the day, knowing how you're going to deal with the lighter fog, you know how to navigate with it by now.
But then it gets heavy again.
You don't know how to work with it anymore,
it gets difficult because it hit randomly.
You get stuck in a panic because of the sudden change. You weren't expecting this.
Maybe if you had just taken that moment to check the weather, it would've been fine.
But you didn't have the time.
There's not an app telling you the memories would come flooding back.
You can't really be prepared when you're always this scared.
Scared to love because you know you'll lose.
It's hard being abused.
Not by others,
but also by you.
