Fly Up High

This struggle I face, is a struggle I embrace

Without it’s grace I have no place

To one day fly and touch the sky

With all the Pilots who provide a ride

It is bold, but its my goal

For without it i’ve lost my soul

To fly one day and touch the sky

It is necessary to have some dimes

But dimes don’t come without some time

Invested in works, with the mind

For the mind is key, to climbing the tree

Which has my dream, at its peak

With a bachelors degree, they will see

that I am worthy of flying free.

The struggle I face, is not the place

Nor the time, to finish the race.

My mind is strong, I know I can’t be wrong.

But, the dime and all its kind

have not been kind, in my time.

To make the dimes, you need the mind

to complete the rhyme of our time.

It is something we are told,

as we grow from young to old.

But they never say, how much debt there is to pay

to fly away, up up high to touch the sky.
