The Flower That Grows Despite (Rendition) of Tupac Shakur's "The Rose That Grew From Concrete"

“The Flower That Grows Despite”

(Rendition) of Tupac Shakur’s “The Rose That Grew from Concrete”

My blood is young, but my soul is old

I love hard, but my heart is cold

A Bent Stem, Damaged petals,

Compliments my watered down soul

Death fuels my life, pain helps me grow

Lies, teach, confines then turns around

And sets me free

Open, but not satisfied knowing

My dirt decides what I will be

All I know is that the sun is all I see

Not worried, about rain

Or anything clouding me

Just worried about snatching

Every breath that life gives me

I inhale love and exhale hate

What is Faith?

Faith is being a flower laughing a snakes

Depriving yourself of water

And setting date with death

Discrediting the laws of nature

Only to prove you’re the best

By keeping its dreams alive

It, learned to breath fresh air

Long live that flower the grows despite

Whether or not no one else cares
