Flight

As I sat there surrounded by nature
My eyes wandered to the sky.
I began to think of how amazing it would feel to be as free as those winged creatures that soar so freely through the skies .
If only the wind would take me into its loving embrace,
And rid me of all this mental weight that I too may be able to soar.
If only gravity would release my soul from its deadly clutches
That it may be able to rise out of this broken frame that it calls a home.
I want to fly, fly away from reality for just one moment .
Maybe if I got a break from this load I'd come back with enough strength to carry it.
I heard of a place where I could set my load down,
But it seems like no one really knows how to get there.

Interesting poem. One suggestion, i would take that very long line and break it into 3 lines.

I began to think of how amazing it would feel
to be as free as those winged creatures
that soar so freely through the skies
