FLAWLESS, I Am!

Sun, 01/25/2015 - 18:07 -- AijhaB

Yes, I am an African American teen girl and well educated

Martin Luther King Jr. paved a way so I can say I finally made it.

Day by day I face discrimination

From this so-called united, free-willed, and lawful nation.

But FLAWLESS, I Am!

Everyday I wake up I fix my hair and brush my teeth

Put on my clothes and shoes, look in the mirror and examine myself from my head to my feet.

I hold my head up high anywhere I go

To prove to every soul that I am it and this I will show.

But FLAWLESS, I Am!

I strive to do the best I can, if you only knew

All the things I manage to live and go through.

Discipline is what I learn

And respect is what I will soon earn.

But FLAWESS, I Am!

See most people think that they can't make it in this world

Especially if you're genetically born a girl.

Like i said before, yes I am an African American teen girl and well educated

Martin Luther King paved a way so I can say I finally made it.

And FLAWLESS, I Am!
