Flawless (Flawless Scholarship Slam)

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

you look so perfect where you are,

sparkling warmth way up there,

I just can't help but to stop and stare.

Others around me also pause,

to gaze upon you in their awe.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star

why do you have to be so far?

I try to touch you, become you, but your light,

it is stuck deep within the night.

Although I kick, and scream, and cry,

you do not budge within the sky.

Twinkle, twinkle, perfect sun,

I want to be you, as does everyone.

Your beauty does more than astound,

it makes people orbit around.

Shimmering, gleaming, light as air,

how could I ever compare?

Twinkle, twinkle, perfect sun,

to become light like you I've started to run.

I haven't eaten and my feet are wrecked,

but thats the price you pay to be perfect.

I've made more friends though mostly male,

but my body is starting to become so frail.

Twinkle, twinkle, deadly heat,

I've been in the clinic about two weeks.

My body is fixing the damage, or trying,

but my mind is broken and I can't stop crying.

I've reached so far, and got so close,

I could have been you, really who knows?

Twinkle, twinkle, deadly heat,

don't think you have me beat.

Though you are pretty far more than I,

I know your image is only a lie.

Beauty way beyond compare,

falsely created with cheap software.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

I've been so low, so high, and so far.

You are pretty and that's ok,

but I am strong, and fierce, and great.

I'm made of galaxies, oceans, and fire,

I'll eventaully reach whatever I desire.

I'll never again covet what you are to find solace

because I am more than I look, and that is flawless.
