The first cut

Location

The first cut was the deepest
I look at my scars and all i saw was fear
I let myself drown in all the sadness and sorrows
Yes it was harmful i admit
But it gave me a way to cope
to cope with all the pain and disappointment
the disappointment that I had to feel
to cope with all the hate and bitterness
the hate and bitterness that I overlooked

The last cut was the shallowest
I gazed at my scars and all i see is strenght
I looked at my reflection and saw beauty and power
No more sadness or hate
I found a harmless way to cope
to cope with the pain and disappointment
the dissapointment i use to feel
to cope with all the hate and bitterness
the hate and bitterness I overcame

As the scars dissapear
I continue to ponder upon the past
As the scars disappear
I continue to wonder about the future
