Fire and rain

Isaiah 45:8

O sky, rain down from above!
Let the clouds send down showers of deliverance!
Let the earth absorb it so salvation may grow,
and deliverance may sprout up along with it.
I, the Lord, create it.

Fire and rain

No place is it written to dance in a storm

When the winds are howling and lightning flashes bright

Mostly we stay hidden as we distort our form

As we’re in darkness crawling in search of a little light

You know there is a fire that spreads an orange glow

providing artificial security in the midst of disaster

How now to acquire the peace far beyond the foe

that rests on purity through the touch of the Master?

Purified by fire … constantly washed in The Blood

Strengthened by the Water … resurrected past the Cross

Delivered from the mire … by the One Who is truly good

To be presented to the Father … without any dross
