Fire

When I scream your name my lungs begin to fill with water and this suffocation swirls itself around me.

The image of your laughing face imprints itself into my back and your smile burns my insides.

Your kiss is smothered in gasoline while your hands fuddle with the match.

Your decadent lips mouth sayings of love but no words seem to empty themselves from within.

Your hands find mine but lay limp within my grasp.

You never tried.

I tried so fucking hard for you.

Your silence crucified my soul and imprisoned my heart.

But I let myself be captured and now i cannot escape.

You really were silent but deadly.

I let you set fire to me but I still shielded you from the flames.
