Finale

John 7:38

38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

It is late now but never too ... the day is almost gone

Remembrance of yesterday has disappeared for good

What is left to adhere too ... what needs to be done?

In sight now the end of play that my life hasn’t understood

The finale almost here ... many watch in anticipation

When the final curtain falls they won’t see me no more

Influence in my sphere will take the destination

Decided by the call for a final lived encore

Did I please the world or did I please its Maker?

Did I live for self or for the purpose I was made?

Did I obtain the pearl ... was I a giver or a taker?

Did I drink from the well on the road my Savior paved?

Am I a chunk of clay in my Master’s Hand?

Will He mold me into something I can’t be?

Will I bring Him glory and be a loving strand

where truth and life will drip for others Him to see?

Will I be a vessel to bring honor to His Name?

Can I be a cup filled with living water?

That the Lord keeps filling removing all the shame,

of all who drink of it, through the Spirit, Son and Father?
