Final Series 1: Night Art

Thu, 06/09/2016 - 19:59 -- umyeah

I've got a big black ocean

That I call my own

It rests between my thoughts and my actions

I swim out when I'm alone

I'll swim for a second

Or maybe a day or two

The result is always the same

I come out with my red heart

Blue

The ebb and flow puts me to sleep

As my chest rises and falls with the tide

But at times I struggle to keep my head above the waves

And have to swallow my pride

Big gulps of salt water

Run down my throat

I let it swallow me whole

I never expected to float
