The Field of White Crosses

Thousands of white crosses,

on a field of grass so green,

Whatever do they stand for,

whatever can they mean?

They stand as a reminder,

of the price that has been paid.

For beneath each and every one

a hero has been laid.

So bravely they answered,

when their country gave the call.

For our right to freedom,

they gladly gave their all.

So let us not forget them,

remember them each day.

The price for our freedom,

they were glad to pay.

And when you see the fields

where these hero's now are laid.

Don't forget to thank them,

for the sacrifice they  made.
