Fears of yesterday

Psalm 37:39

39 But the Lord delivers the godly;
He protects them in times of trouble.

The fears of yesterday never materialized

Should I transfer them into the “now”?

Repeated every day almost fossilized

I carry them with me religiously somehow

Dreams of yesterday never showed up

Wants and wishes lost in some thought

Seems the only way to really cover up

Dissatisfaction’s kisses that somehow we bought

Trouble of today sufficient of its own

What the future holds is God’s designation

Christ somewhere paid to prepare a crown

Our faith to nurture in the plan of Salvation
