Recession!
Starvation!
What of corruption?
Hang on a second!
What about the innocent killings and now the Academic strike?
WHY ALL THESE?

The leaders blinded by their selfish want

The Government undefined

Plot of evils on their minds

The former agenda an enemy to the present

"Another government set to fail"

Men lay in wait to shed blood

Each haunting his brother

Both hands skilled in doing evil

The rulers demand gifts

The judges accept bribes

Agendas unfinished

Plans still yet to be carried out

Promises not fulfilled

Cities unkept

Lives in insecurity

Investment in another father's land

Money converted seize with no account

The school system not fix to help the Nation's operation

So they send their children abroad

We are one they say

But brothers against brothers

Tribe against tribe

A Governor today senator tomorrow

We are leaders of tomorrow with no path to follow

No wonder many are unable to further

Some tired of the education

"let just finish and see what await us out there" they say

Another touts unleashed

Youth grumbling hates for the leaders

Some future might have been shifted

Students left confused and desolate

Civil rights denied

Homes set apart

Plans left void

Youth with uncertain future

The powerful dictate power

They all conspire together

The solution to this present political uncertainty who can tell?

Guard our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
With love and honesty to grow
And live in just and truth
Great lofty height attained
Where peace and justice shall reign

Do not gloat over me
Though have fallen I will rise
The day for building my walls will come

Enough of the recession
Provide food
Put an end to the corruption
Stop the killing
Call the strike off

Nigerians please guard your vote diligently.
