A Farewell to My Insecurity

Sun, 02/11/2018 - 15:16 -- Apalfy

Dear Insecurity,

An incessant whisper in my ear,

Constantly reminding me of everything I fear.

In your unyielding cage I am kept,

It is a prison forged from many regrets.

There are so many things I long to do,

But you keep me cooped up in my room.

Tears well up in my eyes,

Why do you enjoy watching me cry?

I think it is time you let me be.

With you,

I don’t feel free to be me.

Farewell.
