Farewell

Goodbyes are hard when there’s nothing left to say,

All my thoughts are spilled across the page.

I’m tired of waking up day after day,

I’m tired of feeling like I’m stuck in a cage.

Goodbyes are rough when no one hears it,

I’m tired of feeling so stuck.

I don’t think this life is a good fit,

I think I’m truly all out of luck.

Goodbyes are tough when no one knows,

I think I’m going insane.

This is my life and I say what goes,

I’m tired of the strain.

Goodbyes are hard when there’s so much to do,

But I can’t get anywhere if I just crawl.

Thank you to all those who stayed through and through,

I don’t think I can thank you all.

I have nowhere to go and I don’t see a light,

And I’m tired of trying to sing.

I can’t keep doing this out of spite,

I’m tired of everything.

Maybe this is it for me, maybe it’s the end.

All I know is I’m exhausted and I feel like I don’t have a friend.

I’m back in the void and it’s got me like a ball and chain.

Maybe things will get better with a bullet to the brain...
