Familiarity
I am silent mostly
words spoken none to no one
like a leaf I shake
like a leaf I crumble
A world of silence
of wilted roses
sunless morning
and never ending darkness
Mouth closed, lips bound
by an unseen thread
words unspoken
hidden with dread
Drunken nights
violent episodes
tearful eyes
hidden lies
My world is an empty place
treading on the edge
of happiness
of forgiveness
It's been so long
since you've been gone
You're a stranger
with a familiar face
Words are nothing
time withoutshows action
speaks louder
