Falling Freely

Sun, 01/26/2014 - 20:36 -- Inarke

Hands grasp at nothingness

Alone in the dark

The light is far ahead

This is no tunnel

Only sky

And here we fall

People in the distance

They swarm away

The ground comes closer

Heart beats ticking

Aging like weeds left in the sun

Only to be shorn

Wind blows right through

Our bodies like sheer curtain

Eyes alive and weeping

I am falling freely

Or so I tell myself

But no one is here to catch me
