Fallen Man

The fallen man

The broken soul

Has once again

Taken its toll

A broken heart

Filled with false loves lies

Has once again closed a man’s eyes

She robbed him of his wealth

And his trust she snatched away

And yet with her, his faith does stay

She’ll be back

He prays

As he stares at his door

This time she’ll stay

His sight grows blurry

He’s been waiting so long

The door never opened

Making him continue his sad song

Years seem to pass

In the time of a few days

She’ll be back soon

Is what he always seems to say

The fallen man

The broken soul

Has once again

Taken its toll

A broken heart

Filled with false loves lies,

Has once again closed a man’s eyes.
