Fallen Angel

You brought sunshine when we only saw rain
You brought us laughter when we only felt pain.
We may never understand why you left us so soon,
We had to realize God has greater work for you to do.
We lost a solider and God gained an angel
No more hurt and pain from flesh and wordly habits.
I struggled with my selfish thoughts for I wanted you to stay
So we could walk and talk again like we did yesterday.

A fallen angel who has gained their wings
The storm don't last forever, no matter how cloudy it may seem.
You were often a bright light in a dark place|
Even on a bad day, you always kept a smile on your face.
Though the time was short since you were born
You've earned the crown without any thorns.

God looked around his garden and found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.
It broke our hearts to loose you but you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
A fallen angel who has been set free
Gaining her wings, no longer bound from all the earthly things.
