Fall to Winter

This dessilate land

Reminds me of a place I once knew

With children's laughter everywhere

And them running to and fro'

Where the trees look like skeletons

Trying to grab the sky

And the wind would kick up white swirling masses

Seeing the snow twirl its way to the ground

Where it would settle together and make soft mounds

Seeing the comings and goings of people

By their footprints left in the snow

How we can see in the dark

With the snow shining in the moonlight

The way the snow sparkles when the hits it

This all reminds me of a place I once knew

But this dessilate land isn't what it was
