Faith and wonder

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those

who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Bound to a chair moving from day to day

Only to exchange at night for deserved rest

An un-chosen part appointed in mysterious ways

and tolerated by the One Who really knows best

Giving up hope to ever walk again

Knowing deep inside to not stand

Some have tried to change the case

with constant prayer about the now with then

I don’t know the answer ... I can’t grasp the purpose

It is like walking on a blanket of endless snow

Chills easily beset me as my ignorance enslaves me

and only faith can sustain my deep hunger to know

“All works together for good”, is our battle hymn

but all does not appear expedient in my observance of circumstance

People fall and stand but many a good are hurting

and it seems some of the worst are enjoying their inheritance
