Faith and feelings ...

Matthew 21:21

21 Jesus answered them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt,

not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain,

‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.

Are faith and doubt walking hand in hand in my human frame?

Is my doubt a cane ... to keep me from falling?

Is it my silence talking … as I am a Christian in name

and covered in shame ... I cannot hear my Savior calling?

Are faith and doubt related as I lean upon self for vision?

Are they intertwined because of desires of the heart?

Am I antiquated … because of indecision

that I have refined ... until death does us part?

Can I only walk on water when less than one inch deep?

Do I only hear for certain … the echo of my own voice?

Is that why I don’t bother … what Jesus sees in me

not aware of the final curtain that is hanging on my choice?
