FACES OF FATE

Linger gods of absolute

Issue what you constitute,

Instructing through the institutes

Poison posse pollutes.

Sugar candy lace for hire

Written under man's desire,

Brains and beauty due inspire

Sassy spunk with spiritual fire.

Black ties with satin white

Always challenged to a fight,

Yet together this time we right

God's of shame outside our sight.

Faces of fate deals destiny

Eyes now open, what do you see,

Is that really you; or me

Never believed that this could be.

Tomorrow is of yesterday

Seems to repeat all that I say,

Wondering when I'll get my pay

So I can do as I may.

And Love? Well, Love's a new

For my heart beats for very few,

The lucky one who made it through

Who knows? It may be you...
