A Face Few Have Known

There is a face too few have known
Though few have seen the face still shown
That has rarely seen the day of light
And oh! Once seen, what a mighty sight.
Sweet and innocent,
Strong but just,
These are few to describe a face too few have known.
A face that changes like the day of light
Though cold and stoic through a dark winter’s night
But once you find its light so bright
It will die faster than the speed of light
So listen closely friend or foe,
If you meet this face, from long ago
It will fight to leave you with all its might
Though it will leave you when you know
The true face it never shows
This face too few have ever known.
