I hide behind a smile

Because I'm afraid to show

The person who I truly am;

The world can never know

I am not like them at all

I can only be like me

If I don't show, I can't be judged

For who I cannot be

Behind this mask I am a freak

So I hide from judging eyes

Afraid to move, to breathe, to speak

For it may break my facade of lies
