In the eyes of self ...

Job 4:7

Call to mind now:
Who, being innocent, ever perished?
And where were upright people ever destroyed?

“Innocence” my friend … who can really see it

in the eyes of self … is it measurable?

Through the eyes of others ... we may appear different

if the Lord moves their minds … to see the “possible”.

“Preserve a name that’s good”... is what the bible teaches.

A good name is better ... than all treasures in the land.

A name before man and God ... and acceptable to either

that cannot be traded ... although in great demand.

Propaganda can sell a lie ... truth needs no advertising.

You can talk about this ... until you’re blue in the face.

Truth is just a substance ... ignored on every corner

for it takes love to see it ... love for others in every case.

Do we need to help others ... because it makes us feel good?

There is nothing wrong with that ... but is it for the better?

If duty calls and duty rules ... will that make a better world

or should the motivation be ... that love needs to be the latter?

You can care more about the principle than doing a good deed.

The intention behind it is where … there is the difference.

Doing well for goodness sake … is possibly the answer

for that will move self out and remove a major hindrance.

Who is upright in his own strength ... who can stand alone?

Who can interpret … what upright really means?

I as one am slumped over … and moving in the wind

it seems more like dangling … than standing on my feet.
