The Eyes of M.C. Esher

Orwell would be proud-

grey worlds encompassing

grey people,

bent down by their

great oppressor.

And though their

eyes lay blank

and glossy

from broken wills,

their masters are

reflected back into them.

Their great oppressor

shining through those same

blank eyes

and out into the world.

For your society becomes you

and who is stronger

then death.

This poem is about:
Our world
