Eyes

My project is in my hand

My voice is there, I checked

My heart thumps in my ears

As the teacher calls my name

They all turn to me and my friend

As we walk up giggling and stumbling

Then, we turn to present our invention

And they all stare....

The creeper that "likes" me

Winks and blows a kiss (yuck!)

And I feel my voice make its home

Deep down in the bottom stomach

Those words I had practiced

Go way into outer space

I hide my face

My friend spoke but...

I didn't speak

Not because I didn't want to

But because I couldn't

Just couldn't

We failed.

We Failed

We Failed

We Failed

We Failed

We Failed

And it's all my fault

All of those eyes scared me

And I succumbed and now the grade suffered

If you look close, it's an upside down person and a sideways thumbs down (or a thumbs down). I realized that in the middle. Isn't it cool?
