An Eye for the Future

What should I do? Where can I go?

Are these not things I ought to know?

Which path to choose? What if I fail?

Can one small choice my life assail?

Yet should I wait to play at fate

would I not be a reprobate?

Then search I will, and try I must,

for faith extends the bounds of trust.

A man who lives by what he sees

the world can force him to his knees .

But, in the mind of faithful men

exalted visions carry them.

What should I do? Where can I go?

My heart's desire helps me know.

Across the mind's infinite seas

my vision sails on winds of dreams.

These thoughts come to mind many times a day. I feel anxious to choose a major, feeling I may choose wrong. Recently I've begun to ask myself what I can do rather than what my limitations are and that's why I chose to write this poem. I just hope that it helps people to have courage to do something and to know that there is opposition in everything. Thanks for reading.
