Exuviating my Lies

What hides beneath those curly locks

Is tucked inside her ruffled socks

This girl that rarely ever talks

She's hidden behind the mirror

She's always so adroit in school

Afraid of being not that cool

She wants to joke, not be a fool

She's hidden behind her knowledge

Though her smile refuses to fail

Her eyes tell a different tale

This persona acts as a veil

She's hidden behind her laughter

This can't be my reality

Creating this mentality

This girl and her normality

I refuse to hide anymore
