Expressing Emotions

For as long as I can remember,

my mom would journal.

Her words and thoughts,

written down to be given

as gifts to her children one day.

A way to remember those special moments.

A documentation through

generations of history.

History of who I am,

where I came from, and

who I want to become.

Writing has always been

a way to find myself,

A way to escape to a

place of tranquility and peace.

A way to connect and

disconnect with the,

everyday hustle and

bustle of this thing we

call life.

I found my passion through words.

Words that translate into a

treasure trove of memories.

The good, the bad, the laughter,

and the tears--written down throughout the years.

Something to keep forever.
