Excuse Me

Location

 Hello, Mrs. and Mr.'s

Do you think you got a minute

If so, I must tell you something

And please don't try to spin it

You've taught many formulas

Made essay three-prongs

But the way you teach education

Is absolutely all wrong

There is nothing with my young eager mind

Or the homework and course loads the district assigns

But why I dread school, almost every single day

Is because we're taught, not for knowledge, but rather for grades

We are more evaluated by the scores on a test

Than the creativity we use when we try our best'

Innovation is lacking and scores are sky high

Look at our educational system and wonder why

We're learning to be followers

Not to be leaders

Debt ridden in college

To work for dreamers

Excuse me for the interruption

And thank you for your time

But I want to go to college to dream

Not to make a dime
