Excerpt from a book I'll never write #17

"It's kind of absurd isn't it?"

"What is that?" He said. 

She replied, "Loving life even when it doesn't love you back."

Maybe he didn't know what to say, but either way the boy stayed silent. The girl finally said,

"I guess that's what I've been doing all along isn't it? Except with you?"

The boy burned out like a candle not getting enough oxygen. He wasn't there, nor had he been. The girl opened her eyes only to the ceiling instead of the eyes she had missed for so long. 

"I would've given everything to have him lay here with me."

And life replied, "Get up."

She got up off the floor...and so began her new adventure...
