Awe: an emotion variously combining dread, veneration, and wonder

 

Life is full of all types of things

But a lot of the time, life just hurts

What? Its not full of sunshine and daisies?

Well, let me tell you some of the things that life can bring

 

Children go to bed hungry

Mothers lose their sons

Daughters forget their fathers

And death always comes

 

We continue fighting wars that don’t matter

Depression plagues us like a sickness

Disease finds our loved ones

And people breed bitterness

 

People who have a happy mask

Are afraid to close their eyes

Why are they afraid to sleep you ask?

Because their dreams are better than their actual lives

 

The world hurts, people hurt, and most don’t really deserve it

But what if I were to tell you, that’s what makes life worth while?

 

You see, though pain is a constant you can count on

People fight everyday! To see the good in everything!

 

The light warms your face

Birds sing you to sleep

The world is enough to keep all of us!

With sights that could make a man weep

 

People do good! Humanity is not lost!

People continue to love and bring blessings to others

Brand new fathers squeeze their delicate baby girls

Brothers stand up for brothers

 

The universe is so large we cant comprehend it!

From the Infinite Cosmos life was hewn

Atoms and molecules create the world around us

Yet we still push earthly bounds, we’ve even been to the moon!

 

So yeah, life is full of pain, suffering, and dread

But you know whats most awesome?

The fact that we are still here!

This world will wow you if you let it, even fill you with awe

 

The darkness gives us more appreciation for when the light comes

So I guess you could say, in a sense, even the bad is awesome

Life is awesome

Love is awesome

Pain can be awesome

This world can be awesome

Everything is awesome

 

Awesome: causing or inducing awe.
