Everything

What do I need to survive?

I need for my lungs to breath air.

I need for my heart to continue pumping.

I need my brain to keep functioning normally.

I need my ears to hear my depressing music.

I need my mouth to say my sarcastic words.

I need my nose to smell the scents of the world.

I need my eyes to read the print on a page.

I need my feet to keep me upright,

And going towards my goals.

I need my hands and fingers to write the text that comes to mind.

I need to find love at some point,

So my heart can learn to mend.

I need to forgive peolpe's pasts,

Even if it hurts me in the long run.

Most people have already done these things,

But for me it is to bere my soul,

And no good has ever come from that.

So I'll just sit here in the silence,

And let the darkness envelope me.

While I try to think of that one unimportant thing to list that I can't survive without.

And yet I can't think of a single thing.

Because nothing is just one thing,

Everything is made of everything.

So to say that I could survive with one thing,

Is to say I only need that part.
